Senior Software Engineer at CIFC will serve as a member of the technology team that is responsible for the development of internal business applications and the maintenance of in-house and third-party installed applications. He/she will demonstrate high technical expertise, problem-solving skills and excellent customer service. The successful candidate is a professional with a track record of success in insuring that current and future software solutions further organization’s goals and its market competitiveness.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, analyze, develop, code, test, debug and document solutions to business problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members (Developers, Managers, Business Partners, etc.) to enhance our products and services.
• Provide technical expertise and dedication to address any issues which may affect the use of currently implemented software products and data.
• Respond to client queries on data and applications.
• Adhoc data reporting
  
  

Skills/ Knowledge:

• Expert in Python. 5+ years
• Good understanding of data structures and distributed programming.
• Knowledge of SQL / No-SQL database/s, proficient in reading/writing queries and procs.
• Experience with various financial data sources like Intex, BBG, Markit, LCD, Rating agencies.
• Ideal candidate would someone who has worked as aquant / strat / technology role, on buy / sell side Fixed income trading desk.
• Ability to function at both detail and conceptual levels.
• Strong client facing skills are essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to come up withcreative solutions to find errors and patterns in data.
• Experience working directly with trading desk and handling multiple requirements at the same time.
• Very good analytic and debugging skills in finding root cause and fixing it Realtime.
• Work with offshore team and be able to communicate and give clear directions.
• Exposure to Azure or any cloud infrastructure.

Education/ Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar discipline is a plus.
• Additional technical certifications desirable.
