Role: Cybersecurity Engineer
As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you’ll play a key role in securing mission-critical government systems and infrastructure. You’ll bring expertise in Information Assurance (IA), Cybersecurity frameworks, and IT infrastructure (routing, switching, firewalls, server provisioning, virtualization, containers). You’ll collaborate across teams to ensure secure architecture, compliance, and system resilience.
Design, implement, and validate secure system and network architectures.
Collaborate with product development teams to ensure compliance with security requirements.
Perform vulnerability assessments, remediation tracking, and prepare security documentation.
Support accreditation and certification efforts by aligning with NIST, RMF, and CIS standards.
Manage customer firewalls, routers, and switches to maintain secure network operations.
Conduct system integration and security testing to validate system functionality.
Provide guidance on security best practices, policies, and defense-in-depth strategies.
Experience: 7+ years in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or secure systems/network administration.
Strong knowledge of IT systems, IP networking, Linux administration, and centralized directory services.
Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST 800-53, RMF, CIS, etc.).
US Citizenship with ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance (mandatory).
Willingness to travel up to 10%.
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
Certifications: CCNA, Security+ CE, CISSP, or equivalent.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to balance multiple priorities and work independently in a distributed team environment.
