Payroll Administrator Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process biweekly payroll for 600+ employees in multiple locations and states
  • Setup and process off cycle payrolls
  • Create new payroll companies, pay codes and departments as needed
  • Obtain tax accounts for State, City and Local agencies and apply to ADP
  • Act as the primary liaison with ADP as needed
  • Analyze changes in payroll and provide insight to the Finance department
  • Analyze compensation related data including wage and bonuses
  • Collaborate with the Finance department to prepare the monthly payroll accrual
  • Collaborate with ADP and Finance department to implement and maintain interface between ADP and Omni’s GL
  • Collect timekeeping and compensation data and perform analysis as needed
  • Create custom reports
  • Download and updates HSA Savings accounts in ADP and notify employees
  • Download and update 401k in ADP, approve transmissions and payments
  • Process reports and backup for Workers Comp Audits and 401k 5500 Audits
  • Point of contact for all employee payroll related questions regarding compensation, taxes, deductions and PTO

Skills Ensure and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of ADP Workforce Now
  • Experience with an acquisition focused company and demonstrated ability to assimilate acquired company employees into ADP Workforce Now highly desired
  • Ability to handle stress, expectations, and workload demands
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others, multi-task, meet deadlines, and have flexibility to accommodate special projects as they arise
  • Demonstrated organization skills; the ability to work as a member of a fast-paced team and to balance multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high attention to detail
  • Must exercise sound judgment, initiative and independent thinking
  • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues—including previous experience in role maintaining confidentiality
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word applications
  • Ability to work with a positive attitude as part of a hard-working, dedicated team

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Five  to seven years’ progressive payroll processing experience
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now required
  • Prior experience in healthcare preferred but not required
  • Accounting  1 year (Preferred)
