• Direct activities related to planning, procuring, dispatching, routing, and tracking of transportation vehicles
• Collaborate with team members to formulate and implement transportation-related procedures.
• Comply with DOT rules, as well as safety rules and government regulations.
• Promote safe work activities by conducting safety audits, and attending company safety meetings.
• Researching transportation costs and methods and opportunities to improve network efficiency
• Communicate with internal teams for status of incoming supplies
• Write policies for handling transportation issues
• Establishing efficient routes and transportation schedules
• Coordinating maintenance and repairs for vehicles
• Inspect loads and prevent overloading
• Keep and transmit complete and accurate records for each vehicle in the fleet
• Prepare plan and schedule for purchase / lease / rental of new vehicles to expand and/or enhance the fleet
• Ordering urgent or emergency repairs as needed
• Develop methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency
• Any other job assigned from time to time.
