We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage recurring financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance tasks. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing operational and cash flow reports, and supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc financial and operational reports, including market cover data, event performance, community fundraisers, and location-specific reports.
Cash Flow & Reconciliation: Maintain and reconcile daily cash flow from multiple systems (NetSuite, Airbase, Salesforce, banking platforms) and ensure accuracy across all financial records.
Month-End & Prepayments: Manage monthly prepayment schedules, close processes, and supporting reconciliations.
Tax & Compliance: Prepare and file quarterly sales tax returns, issue annual 1099s, and support audits or compliance reviews.
Process Improvement: Collaborate with internal teams to refine reporting processes and ensure data accuracy across systems.
Oversight: Oversee activities of AR/AP contractor to ensure emails are answered, and invoices are entered into our system and sent to customers
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
2+ years of accounting or financial operations experience.
Proficiency with NetSuite, Salesforce, Airbase, and Google Sheets.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently in a hybrid setting.
Work Environment Hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA, with a mix of remote work and in-office collaboration.
