Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Providing care for children, such as setting schedules and routines, grooming, feeding, changing diapers, and cleaning rooms and toys
• Developing and encouraging age-appropriate learning and socialization to ensure children learn basic skills and concepts, such as communication, manners, sharing, etc
• Ensuring children are learning positive behaviors and providing a warm, nurturing environment where they feel safe and secure
• Observing and tracking children’s developmental progress and reporting to parents
• Implementing strategies to manage behavior, including establishing and enforcing rules and boundaries, promoting positive behaviors, and employing techniques such as redirecting attention and maintaining consistency

Salary

The salary for this position ranges from $17 to $18 per hour, dependent on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Work Visa
• Previous experience in a childcare setting
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Familiarity with the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
• First aid and CPR certified

• Excellent communication and instructional skills
• Ability to act as mediator between children
• Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR
• Patience, flexibility and love for children
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
