Responsibilities:

• Oversee and ensure the timely and accurate completion of monthly financial closes for the US, Canada, and Australia, in strict accordance with GAAP.
• Review and approve journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, upholding the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct technical accounting research and contribute to the development and management of accounting policies and procedures documentation.
• Accounts Payable Oversight: Analyze accounts payable aging, manage weekly payment runs, and oversee AP invoice approvals to maintain financial integrity.
• Global Tracking System Oversight: Administer FloQast, our comprehensive tracking system for all month-end reporting tasks and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Cash Forecasting: Assist in preparing detailed global cash forecasts by country using the direct method, to enhance financial planning and analysis.
• Collaborate with FP&A and various business units to provide in-depth financial analysis and support, driving informed business decisions.
• Act as the vital link between NetSuite administrators and daily users, handling critical tasks such as currency revaluation, intercompany eliminations, and month-end close procedures. Also responsible for managing the chart of accounts and creating training materials and advanced reports for the global team.
• Support the preparation of annual financial statements, complete with comprehensive footnotes and disclosures.
• Assist with the annual audit by coordinating tasks with auditors and ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
• Offer ongoing guidance and training to junior team members, ensuring strict adherence to internal controls and best practices, and fostering their personal and professional growth.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA or CPA candidate
• 4+ years of relevant Accounting experience. Preference for candidates with a blend of industry and public accounting experience.
• Understanding of US GAAP and methodologies for technical research.
• Located in Austin, Texas – ability to be in office on Thursdays.
  
  

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Strong analytical, creativity, problem solving, time-management, and planning skills.
• Strong Microsoft Excel expertise and solid Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills.
• Intermediate technical and/or system knowledge of ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar accounting software.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with internal staff and management.
• Must be able to demonstrate practical problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
