Sales Executive Job Description

SiriusXM Media is seeking a Sales Executive to join the Growth Sales Team. This role is critical for developing and managing successful advertising programs for key clients. As an individual contributor, you will be responsible for closing new business and maintaining and growing relationships with advertisers and ad agencies.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prospect and close new business while growing the current book of business.
  • Ensure clients receive the highest level of sales and operational customer service.
  • Execute and deliver high-quality responses to all Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Manage sales activity using Salesforce.com and other internal reporting tools.
  • Create innovative sales presentations using industry research, prospecting tools, and campaign performance data.
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual agreements.
  • Develop and maintain key senior-level relationships with ad agencies and companies to build ad revenue.
  • Participate actively in training and growth opportunities provided by SiriusXM Media.

What You’ll Need:

  • Minimum of 3 years of digital advertising sales experience.
  • Established relationships with brands and agencies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Extensive contacts and relationships with leading agencies and clients.
  • Deep understanding of the advertising marketplace, focusing on audio, mobile, and digital platforms.
  • Experience in programmatic advertising is a plus.
  • Experience with digital measurement is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of interactive advertising, including positioning and technology.
  • Ability to develop and manage a consistent sales pipeline using Salesforce.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales goals.
  • Creative, smart, passionate, problem solver, and team player.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and drive to achieve sales goals.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with staff at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor over phone and in person.
  • Commitment to internal client and customer service principles.
  • Initiative-taking with strong follow-through.
  • Creative writing ability.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • General understanding of Salesforce.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
