As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations of the organization. Your responsibilities will include maintaining financial records, performing account reconciliations, assisting with the preparation of financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and expense reports
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing financial data and analysis to help management make informed decisions
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and support as
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations to management based on findings
• Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, operations, and human resources, to ensure accurate financial reporting and alignment of financial goals with overall business objectives
• Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by management, which may involve financial analysis, research, and reporting

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of experience as a staff accountant
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards

Benefits:

• This is a 3-month contract (with the possibility of extension) paying $30-35/hr (depending on experience)
