The corporate senior accountant will assist the CFO in providing day-to-day financial leadership to the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be able to contribute by continuing to enhance the finance department functions
- Create new technology processes to improve financial efficiency
- Account for lifecycle of company’s inventory
- Coordinate inventory purchasing
- Maintain the company's daily accounting records
- Manage invoicing, A/R and collections
- Manage all A/P transactions including vendor aging reports
- Post all daily/monthly/quarterly journal entries and accruals
- Prepare the reconciliation of all bank statements
- Prepare weekly check runs and assist in managing cash flow
- Generate and distribute periodic management reports
- Payroll processing and payroll-related transactions
- Process and reconcile payroll tax payments and reports
- Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
- Preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements
- Supervise ordering of supplies
- Maintain strict confidentiality of company and personnel information
- Work with outside auditors to prepare the company’s financials and tax returns
- Prepare Board reports
- Perform other duties and ad-hoc reports assigned by management
Competencies:
- Knowledge of GAAP and C-Corp Tax
- Salesforce or similar CRM
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Experience with accounting programs
Other responsibilities include:
- Identify and take ownership for the resolution of problems.
- Adhere to strict timelines to close books, ensure account reconciliations are current, and deliver financial statements and monthly management packages timely.
- Communicate effectively and consistently with the CFO.
- Communicate effectively with the executive team, the organization, clients and vendors.
- Maintain documentation for policies, processes, controls and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and tax filings.
- Understand and communicate cash requirements and forecasts.
Essential Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with a Major in Accounting, CPA or Masters required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as corporate senior accountant controller or similar role.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data to all levels, including finance and non-finance managers.
- Strong work ethic – must be able to prioritize and manage multiple, critical projects simultaneously; must be able to work extended hours to meet deadlines.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
