Software Engineer Jobs in Tickrs Clearing Irvine, CA

The following duties are typical for this job position. Incumbents may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.

• Utilize Python and MSSQL to build tools to facilitate data transfer between our vendors and back office
• Write rich reports in Python that access SQL data and present that information in an intuitive manner to our clients and internal users
• Develop MSSQL stored procedures on SSMS and Python functions on AWS lambda to build out CRUD operations for our front-end portals
• Test, deliver, and monitor code through a development stack that includes AWS lambda, API gateway, AWS CodeCommit, and CloudWatch Logs
• Work in a team-environment with project managers, front-end developers, database engineers, and third-party vendors
• Participate in full life-cycle software development
• Support broker-dealer Operations and Compliance departments with systems-related needs
• Support and contribute to the design, implementation and deployment of highly scalable and reliable systems
• Contribute to code reviews, architectural and design reviews and evangelize best engineering practices
  
  

Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field
• Fluency with MSSQL and Python
• Financial industry experience preferred
• An understanding of core engineering principles and computer science concepts (such as algorithms, data structures and networking)
• Strong communicator with a history of writing clean code and documentation
• Understanding of agile development and tools such as Jira
• Knowledge of AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, Amplify, CloudWatch) or other similar cloud provider
• Knowledge of database design and experience working with and building databases
• Knowledge of database administration, backup, and recovery is a plus
• Open to new technologies and creative solutions
• Comfortable working within a fast-paced, high growth startup environment
• A clean FINRA U4 and background is required for this position
