 The Store Manager in Training is responsible for learning and executing all day-to-day operations of the store while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This role prepares individuals for full store management by gaining hands-on experience in leadership, operations, sales, and team development. The ultimate goal is to support our mission to “Leave ‘em Better.”

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Experience & Team Leadership
• Deliver and model outstanding customer service at all times
• Lead by example with a positive attitude, reliability, and integrity
• Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and training of store team members
• Maintain a motivated and engaged team through communication, coaching, and accountability
• Ensure all team members follow company policies, food safety, and sanitation standards
• Operations & Performance Management
• Oversee store functions including food prep, cash handling, housekeeping, and merchandising
• Manage shift coverage and staffing needs for both regular operations and special events
• Conduct employee performance evaluations and address disciplinary issues in accordance with policy
• Support daily sales tracking, reporting, and cash handling
• Maintain clean, safe, and inviting store environments
• Inventory, Budget & Compliance
• Monitor inventory, place orders, and verify stock accuracy
• Support the development of store-level marketing and sales strategies
• Assist in managing budgets and ensuring profitability
• Learn and demonstrate the responsibilities of all in-store roles
• Train and coach team members on procedures, best practices, and service standards
• Take initiative in resolving issues, leading shifts, and improving team performance
• Serve as a reliable point of contact for both customers and employees

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 2 years of retail or food service experience strongly preferred
• Successful completion of in-store training and management development program

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks
• Must be able to work extended hours on occasion, including weekends and holidays
