We’re looking for a caring, safety-conscious, and organized individual to join our daycare team as a cook. In this vital role, you will prepare meals for children aged 2 to 5, ensuring that all dietary needs and allergy precautions are met while promoting healthy eating habits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve healthy, age-appropriate meals and snacks for children ages 2–5.
• Plan weekly menus that follow child nutrition guidelines and meet dietary restrictions or allergies.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen at all times.
• Comply with all local health and safety regulations.
• Occasionally support teachers in the classroom if needed.
• Encourage positive eating behaviors during mealtimes.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Prior experience in cooking, preferably in a daycare or childcare environment.
• Knowledge of nutritional needs for young children and balanced meal planning.
• Understanding of food allergies and safe food-handling practices.
• Ability to multitask and work well in a collaborative daycare environment.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Food handling certification is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Background in culinary services or food preparation.
• Experience planning menus and adapting meals for special diets (e.g., vegetarian, allergy-free).
• Strong communication skills and a caring, child-friendly attitude.
