CPA Licensed Senior Accountant Jobs in Arcis Golf Dallas, TX

 We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced, and people-focused Senior Accountant to lead a team of staff accountants in producing timely and accurate internal financial statements in accordance with GAAP. This role plays a critical part in supporting operational oversight and management reporting for multiple entities and locations. The ideal candidate brings a strong accounting foundation, team leadership experience, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of staff accountants
• Lead and coordinate monthly close processes across multiple entities
• Review, approve, and ensure accuracy of journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close tasks
• Serve as a key point of escalation and guidance for team problem-solving
• Oversee and perform account reconciliations, including inventory, prepaid expenses, accruals, and COGS
• Ensure transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled with subsystems
• Conduct detailed analytical reviews of financial statements, investigating and explaining monthly variances
• Communicate key financial insights and updates to site general managers and corporate leadership
• Ensure adherence to GAAP, internal policies, and established internal control procedures
• Oversee the preparation and filing of sales and use tax returns, partnering with the Tax Director
• Prepare and review audit schedules and assist in year-end audits
• Participate in the design and implementation of process improvements and internal controls
• Support annual operating and capital budget processes in collaboration with FP&A, site leaders, and corporate staff
• Contribute to finance systems initiatives, including ERP implementation and reporting platform improvements
• Support cross-functional projects and take on special assignments as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 3–6 years of relevant industry accounting experience preferred
• 1–2 years of supervisory experience strongly preferred
• CPA license is a plus but not required
• Solid understanding of GAAP and experience managing a multi-entity month-end close
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills; strong proficiency in Word
• Experience with Great Plains Dynamics (eEnterprise), FYIsoft, Anaplan, or similar systems is a plus
