Part Time Cook Job Description

We are looking for a reliable Cook who is concerned with customer satisfaction, prepares, and cooks food items to ensure the highest quality service and experience for customers. They help keep the kitchen organized and running efficiently. They ensure proper food handling, sanitation and following food storage procedures.

Job Description:

• Deliver quality nourishment (2 meals per day plus snacks) to estimated 20 clients within a residential (house) setting
• Collaborate with team members and clients to meet nourishment goals developed for clients
• Keep kitchen safe, clean and orderly
• Provide the Kitchen Manager with a list of needed groceries and other items related to the kitchen
• Engage with clients as needed during shift
• Monitor equipment integrity and communicate issues to the Kitchen Manager
  
  

Competencies:

• Be able to stand during shift
• Be able to lift pots/pans and other typical kitchen equipment and groceries
• Deliver healthy food options to clients
• Knowledge of cleaning/cooking in a residential setting
• Ability to communicate effectively and model kindness
• Work independently
• Create a joyful work environment in the kitchen
  
  

Qualifications:

• 2 - 5 years cooking experience (preferred)
• Experience managing a kitchen (preferred)
• Ability to work at least 22.5 hours per week
