Developer Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Entry-Level Java Developer to join our software development team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or junior developers to gain real-world experience, work with modern technologies, and grow within a collaborative environment. You’ll assist in developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software applications using Java and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of Java-based applications
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code under guidance from senior developers
Participate in code reviews and learn industry best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, product, and UI/UX to deliver quality features
Troubleshoot and debug software issues in a timely manner
Write unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and apply them where appropriate

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Strong understanding of Core Java, OOP concepts, and data structures
Familiarity with Java 8+ features (Lambdas, Streams, etc.)
Basic understanding of Spring Boot and RESTful web services (a plus)
Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Hands-on knowledge of Git, basic version control practices
Problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn
Good written and verbal communication skills

Preferred (Not Mandatory):

Exposure to HTML, CSS, JavaScript for front-end basics
Knowledge of Maven/Gradle, and JUnit
Internship experience or personal projects in Java
