Job Description

1, Job Duty for Driver: 

• Perform a daily inspection of company vehicle
• Keep vehicle clean and take vehicles to proper shops for required maintenance - i.e. tire rotations, oil changes etc.
• Knowledgeable with Google Maps, operate Android tablet to manage rides.
• Transport residents to Day Program, medical appointments, and outdoor activities.
• Assist wheelchair clients - pushing them up wheelchair ramp, properly loading and securing them into the van. Also, familiar /ready to learn to Operate wheelchair, hydraulic lift, wheelchair lift.
• Complete Trip Sheet on a daily basis fully recording each transport.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Able to drive in inclement weather if necessary - rain, snow, sleet etc.
• Perform any additional tasks that are in the best interests of the residents, under supervision/guidance from manager.
• Assist in various activity program under supervision and/or guidance of Activity Director that may include behavioral programs, group activities, bingo and other games for clients.
• Developing marketing plans to promote products or services to clients
• Operate smartphone to check company email and communicate with clients and dispatchers.
• Drive in a safe manner, utilizing defensive driving training, to take clients to their appointments on time.
• Providing administrative support to the activity department such as organizing events, documentation, and answering phones
• Must be able to lift, drag, hoist, &carry equipment and other objects between 50-100 pounds.

Minimum Requirement / Qualification

• Effective communication skills.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Bilingual, Gujarati/Hindi/English/Spanish preferred.
• Clean driving record with no prior suspensions in the last 5 years

OTHER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Possess previous customer service experience with a good track record of assisting customers in a thoughtful, caring, and timely manner.

Have a great work history with a track record of being a reliable responsible individual.

Previously certified in Basic Adult & Child First Aid & CPR and Defensive Driving, preferred but not required.
