ProHEALTH, one of the largest multi-specialty medical practices in the New York Metropolitan area, is seeking a talented and driven HR Generalist to join a dynamic Human Resources Department. This role primarily reports to the Human Resources Manager and will assist with the administration of FMLA, employee leaves, ADA, and workers compensation as well as special projects as assigned. The successful candidate must be a team player who is able to manage multiple priorities at once. Partner with TPA to coordinate, administer, and track FMLA and non-FMLA leaves of absence.
- Provide managers with regular leave updates and ADA/ergonomic accommodations;- Ensure timely processing of short-term and long-term disability claims. Appeal insurance decisions on the behalf of employees, when warranted.
- Manages workers compensation process including incident reports, reporting, and claims management;- Act as a point of contact for employee relations issues, inquiries and complaints;- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws, and monitor any changes in labor laws and regulations; Ability to work independently, but a strong and effective team player;- Flexible in adapting and responding to changing situations;- Strong commitment to results; solutions oriented; superior organizational and follow up
skills, and ability to multi-task;- Professional level of confidentiality in handling employee information;- Ability to apply professionalism in all interactions with strong decision making capability;- Excellent interpersonal communication and demonstrated customer service skills a must;- Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now a plus. Bachelor degree preferably in Human Resources, Business, or other related field;- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a fast paced, high volume HR role;- Thorough working knowledge of all of the HR disciplines;- Proficient in 2010 MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel;- Demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.
