Sales Associate Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale customers (retail stores, distributors, and small businesses).
Take and process customer orders via phone, email, or in-person.
Upsell additional products and introduce new items to customers.
Maintain accurate sales records, invoices, and receipts.
Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues promptly.

Safely deliver wholesale products to customer locations on time.
Load, unload, and handle products with care.
Collect payments (if applicable) and obtain customer signatures as proof of delivery.
Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of company delivery vehicle.
Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules efficiently.

Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and warehouse organization.
Report customer feedback, sales opportunities, and delivery issues to management.
Work closely with the sales and operations team to ensure smooth order fulfillment.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (commercial license not required, unless state law mandates).
Previous experience in sales, delivery driving, or wholesale/distribution is preferred.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to lift and move boxes
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
Basic math and record-keeping skills (for invoices and payments).
Smartphone literacy (GPS, delivery apps, invoicing tools).
