Tutor Job Description
I am looking for a tutor for my 2 kids to learn to speak, read and write Gujarati (ages 7 and 10). If the teacher is a good fit, I am also interested in creating a local group to hold weekly classes for other children who want to learn Gujarati. I live in the Campbell/Los Gatos area. The teacher would have to come prepared with that week's lessons and tutor in a manner that is engaging and creative with new ideas every week. I will expect the teacher to also provide a small/manageable amount of homework to ensure that the child progresses for the next week of tutoring.
Job Requirements:
- Experience or degree in education or a humanities field is preferred.
- Strong content knowledge in Gujarati language including reading, writing and grammar.
- Experience teaching or tutoring students.
- Classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level is preferred.
- Teaching Plan for weekly tutoring of Gujarati Language that shows progress
No teaching certificate is required for this position.
