Zeal is developing the world's first social learning system on phones. Founded in February 2013, we released our alpha in August to the first several thousand students. We believe that instead of students having to go to a physical place to learn, they will be able to learn anything, anywhere, at any time on their phones. We believe that people learn best when they are solving a problem that stretches their thinking and when they can learn from each other. Zeal was founded by serial entrepreneurs John Danner and Sanjay Noronha. John was the CEO and co-Founder of NetGravity, the first adserving company, which he took public and sold for $750m. He then taught for several years and founded Rocketship Education, the first technology-enabled blended schools in the country. Sanjay was the co-Founder of Elance, the world's first outsourcing marketplace and has spent the last several years working in social gaming and learning apps.
