all local. all handcrafted. We moved in January 2014, to 370 E Main St in Carrboro NC. Come see our new space! We are a co-operative of all volunteer artisans. Unique as the area’s oldest artist co-operative, we offer a unique shop & gallery, with the works of over 70 local artists & craftspeople. Our all-volunteer cooperative has thrived for 4 decades, and 2 dozen or more artists (women & men) stock, manage and run the store. You will always find a couple of artists working behind the counter, and we are happy to answer questions and explain the person and process behind any object in the shop. Our selection of art and handcrafted objects is always changing. We feature fine art, pottery, quilts, woodwork, baskets and home accessories, as well as all types of glass: fused, stained and kiln fired. Our jewelry cases offer fine gold, silver and other mixed metals. The walls display original 2D art by painters, fiber artists and photographers, and many are available as cards and prints.
