The Western Identification Network (WIN) is a consortium of western state and local law enforcement agencies that utilize a shared biometric database and network for the purpose of searching fingerprints and palmprints for criminal identification and civil background clearances for employment and licensing purposes. WIN Members include: Alaska Department of Public Safety, Idaho State Police, Montana Department of Justice, Nevada Department of Public Safety, Oregon State Police, Utah Department of Public Safety, Washington State Patrol, Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigations and the California Department of Justice.
