About UCP of Greater Cleveland
UCP of Greater Cleveland celebrated its 62nd year in 2012 as a health and human services organization. The agency has grown from a small parent group into a network of support for people with a wide spectrum of disabilities including but not limited to, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, muscular dystrophy, autism spectrum disorder and individuals with a cognitive delay. The agency was originally organized by a group of determined parents who saw few true opportunities for their children with cerebral palsy. This loosely organized parent support group evolved over the last 62 years into a CARF–accredited (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) high impact, thriving professional organization meeting the complex health and social challenges facing children and adults with special needs.
