Controls all aspects of Turkon Lines’ terminal operations in the port of New York. Approves all Maintenance & Repair for chassis and containers in NY. Inspects all Turkon equipment at the port of New York. Prepares 3rd party invoices for damage to Turkon Lines equipment. Orders and controls equipment parts in NY. Assists intermodal Logistics Dept. with any overlapping functions such as truck companies holds, tracing equipment, truck companies’ invoice collection. Assists Marine Operations Mngr. in terminal contract renewal/negotiations. Vacation coverage for marine operations mngr for terminal coordination and labor orders. Answers technical questions from head quarters staff regarding estimates, repairs and container availability. Enters invoices into Turkon’s system maintained in head quarters system. Researches new technologies for construction of ISO container & chassis related to improvements of design and materials used in the manufacture and repair of equipment.
