Sofran Partners was established by a group of former associates of The Sofran Group; a commercial real estate development company founded in 1980 in Montreal, Canada. In 1981, The Sofran Group opened its US headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia and in 1983, opened a satellite office in Orlando, Florida. In 2013, the Principals of Sofran Partners acquired certain rights, assets and opportunities of The Sofran Group, originating from the Atlanta office. During their tenure with The Sofran Group, the Principals of Sofran Partners were directly involved in the development, management and leasing of over 5 million square feet of retail properties in the Southeast. The Principals of the Florida office of The Sofran Group are responsible for an additional 2.3 million square feet of retail space in Florida
