The Lobster Place Careers in New York, NY

In 1974, my parents Rod and Joan MacGregor founded The Lobster Place in a tiny storefront on Manhattan’s upper west side. In those days, live lobster was mostly eaten by tourists in Maine and there were only a few businesses bringing it right into the city. Rod and Joan worked tirelessly doing just that. Together, they built a successful business selling crustaceans to restaurants in Manhattan and shoppers in their neighborhood. Over time, their customers, vendors and employees came to recognize them for their uncommon integrity and commitment to doing “the right thing.
