The Colloquium is a hospital membership organization - experts working with experts to accredit hospitals and other healthcare organizations for heart failure. Using process improvement and cultural change methods, Colloquium members cover the entire continuum of care for heart failure using a chronic disease state model. Heart Failure Accreditation was launched April 2008. Beta site testing was completed in February 2010. From the originnal ten beta sites, the Colloquium now has 70+ members including heart transplant and VAD centers, children's hospitals, and a growing number of affiliate members from industry and the not-for-profit world. The Colloquium has clearly emerged as the pre-eminent accrediting body for heart failure.
