TUFC ROOTS The Texas Urban Forestry Council is a statewide nonprofit organization that has been incorporated since 1990. TUFC obtained its 501 (c)(3) status in 1991 and is governed by a 14-member Board of Directors. Our members include representatives of city, county, and state governments; local nonprofit organizations; universities; private foresters; arborists; nurserymen; landscape architects; and interested individuals from across the state.
