The theme of TEDxEastsidePrep 2013 was Evolution of Instruction—Building Understanding. Our inquiry was driven by these guiding questions: What ways of building understanding (doing and thinking) will contribute to shifts in education over the next 5-20 years? What components are essential to building understanding? (in education, in work, in life) How could the educational experience (in school and outside of school) of young people be re-imagined to be more engaging, more immersive and empower lifetime learning? About TEDx What is TEDx? In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx.
