Chicago-based designer Kelsey Tanner O’Connor’s discerning eye and sense of rock & roll fashion was inspired by years of globe trotting. Shortly after designing her first dress—“a cherry red velvet hot mess”—for her prom no less, Kelsey became a high-fashion model, recruited to the runways of Paris and Milan. It was during these formative years that Kelsey fed her hunger for fashion and developed her own unique style. She merged the sophisticated and soft-spoken tones of Paris with the wild patterns of Milan, the natural fibers of Egypt with the bright colors and dyes of Asia. After her flight from modeling, Kelsey worked in the arenas of music, television, and technology, all the while developing her own unique style and her work began to take notice. Today, her life and education are on full display in the designs and collections she creates for Tanner O’Connor.
