Supernova began in Durango for one simple reason: Furniture is expensive here! Before Robyn and Joey Vagneur opened Supernova in Colorado, they found it was more cost-effective to purchase plane tickets to Texas and rent a truck to fill with furniture before driving it back. Friends and family asked if they could also put in orders and the idea was born. Robyn's family already owned successful Supernova Furniture stores in Texas, and with 40 years of industry experience, they were thrilled to help Joe and Robyn open Supernova Furniture here. In June of 2016, they opened their store in the Crossroads Center at Main Avenue and 14th Street. Supernova is a local and Independently owned store. While Joe and Robyn draw from their parents vast industry knowledge we have tailored our store to fit our Market. Joe being born and raised in Telluride and moved to Durango in 1999 to go to college is a true SW Colorado Native. He lead Business Development for one of the Largest Processing Company in the world and now has focused on Developing Durango's Best and most unique Furniture experience around.
