SES is a student led organization which works closely with local farmers, farmer’s market managers, master gardeners, and students from schools where environmentally sustainable programs are emphasized and regularly practiced. In addition to our extensive networking, any entrepreneurial activities such as: running a vendor at a farmers market, managing and promoting the KSU on campus farmers market, and organizing a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program; is completely student run. By localizing organic agriculture we can take more trucks off the road, empower local economies through a reformed Community Supported Agricultural system, and educate a new generation about sustainability and its benefits on our health. Students involved will expand their knowledge of business concepts and agricultural methods that will create for them and others a higher standard of living and better quality of life.
