Stephen Truax Careers in New York, NY

Stephen Truax is a conceptual artist whose project-based works analyze the historical origins and the current parameters of art. His current project explores of the significance of being an artist, as a subject, in the context of the global market by addressing specific theoretical issues regarding cultural production today. Truax received his Bachelors of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2007. He has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Turkey, Tunisia and India, including a year-long residency abroad in Rome. His work has been exhibited internationally in New York, Rome, and India. He currently lives and works Brooklyn, NY.
