Since 1945, we've been the one-stop-shop for all auto parts in Baltimore. Our family business has the largest inventory, the most experienced/ASE certified staff, and an operations system that would make an Army Drill Sergeant jealous. When you need parts, and you need them 10 minutes ago, you call Standard. Some history: Founded in October of 1945 by Jack Sutton, the Company sold auto parts, hardware supplies, and Gleem house paint. The original building on North Avenue was destroyed by fire on February 29, 1960. The Company moved into its current building on December 20, 1965 and the hardware and paint side of the business was phased out. This allowed us to carry a huge inventory and establish our reputation for having the parts our customers need in stock. In January, 2003 the Company opened a new corporate headquarters and distribution center in South Baltimore.
