In 1991 Silver Lake Specialized Care Center was commissioned by the NYS Dept. of Health to develop a long-term respiratory ventilator program, in a post hospital setting. Our dedicated staff has been perfecting the concept ever since. Our unique approach is one that has been proven over the years, providing an overall wellness program to support independent breathing. We created the concept and we have been perfecting it ever since. Our program may be slow and steady, but it provides one with an excellent quality of life during the rehab process and a much more stable outcome when one is weaned.
