Rotational Lug Technology (RLT), a privately held company, holds a patent and UL approvals in the US and Canada on a revolutionary design for a family of lugs named Roto-Lugs, used in the Electrical Switchgear installation . The design of the rotational lug allows for wire to be seated/landed directly, in a straight line, or with minimal bending, into the switchgear box or breaker. Labor and safety costs are significantly lower with little or no need for bending of the wire. Reduced bending of the wire insures 100% compliance of UL code to not exceed 4 bends per wire, the integrity of the wire is no longer compromised and wire costs are reduced, as the amount of wire wasted decreases. Additionally, the set screws used to secure the wire no longer require an Allen Wrench, reducing stripping, loosening and allowing for proper torque to be applied.
