Schwake began delivering stones in 1946, and with that first delivery, a tradition of quality, service and satisfaction was set into motion that we still value today - almost 70 years later. As the company grew and our reputation expanded, we began receiving requests for a more diversified product selection. In the 1960s we acquired additional yard space to accommodate more stone products, and the addition of saws to custom cut limestone on-site. Today that tradition of excellence continues. With a combined total of well over 200 years of experience in the industry, our employees bring expert knowledge and experience to every customer. Our Mundelein, Illinois location has a 20,000 square feet indoor showroom and a paved 7 acre outside display yard featuring over 100 varieties of building stone, 40 types of landscaping gravel and sand, landscape boulders, outcroppings, flagstone, marble and granite.
