Rex Mcmanamy Fine Art Careers in Lowell, MA

Rex McManamy received his BFA in Printmaking in 1977 from Northern Arizona University and went on to graduate studies in fine arts at Southern Illinois University which he completed in 1979. He was a faculty member at SIU where he taught fine art photography in the undergraduate creative arts program. Rex has studied with such noted artists as Richard Beasley, Bruce Horn, Robert Malone and Leila Daw in the disciplines of painting, lithography, intaglio and multi-media design. In 1982 he began a ten year association with architect Benjamin Thompson. Rex provided support for the firm by acting as a presentation designer and photographer for many of BTA’s innovative urban projects, including South Street Seaport in NYC, the Ordway Music Theatre in St. Paul, MN, and the revitalization of Chicago’s Navy Pier Since the early 1990’s Rex’s career has been as a Graphic Designer, Art Director and Illustrator, working for various financial and high tech firms.
