Quint Contemporary Art (QCA) was founded by gallery owner, Mark Quint in 1981. QCA has presented over 250 exhibitions during the galleries 32 years of business and has built and inhabited 10 gallery spaces in San Diego, California including locations in Mission Hills, Miramar, Downtown and La Jolla always with a reputation of exhibiting world class contemporary artwork. In 2011 the gallery relocated to a building at 7547 Girard Ave. La Jolla. The 3,000 square-foot interior exhibition space was renovated with the help of international artists Robert Irwin and Roy McMakin. The gallery façade features a sculpture installation by San Diego-based artist Roman de Salvo. The gallery exhibits contemporary art by emerging, mid-career and established artists.
