Phillips Steel Company was founded in 1915 in Long Beach, California by Paul Phillips, the grandfather of current company president, Daryl Phillips, at the corner of Ocean and American Avenues. The company is currently run by President Daryl Phillips, who began work at the company under his father. Joining him in the day-to-day sales and operations are fourth generation family members, Greg and Todd Phillips, his two nephews. Daryl's wife Sandy also joins him in the business handling things in the Credit Department. Sara Phillips, fourth generation, Sales, joined the company in 2005.
