Our attorneys successfully defended a claim for wrongful termination and delay damages brought by a subcontractor against our highway contractor client and its payment bond surety. P&A’s client was also counterclaiming for excess completion costs.Peckar & Abramson tried the case to the bench in late August 2016. In December, the court issued judgment in our client’s favor. The court dismissed the subcontractor’s claims of more than $1 million. The court awarded our client its full counterclaim for excess completion costs of more than $700,000.
