About PACOA
Starting in 1969, Teddy Geismar and his son Herb were selling paint rollers and roller frames to local paint, hardware and lumber stores in the New York market. With an assembly line in Herb's basement, Herb and his family assembled paint roller frames manually. Teddy and Herb then delivered these from the trunk of their cars. Just a few years later in 1974, Paint Applicator Corporation of America (PACOA) was born. With the arrival of Teddy's grandson, Steve Geismar, the company began to grow exponentially. In the span of 40 years, PACOA has developed from a small assembly line in the basement of Herb's home to a 92,000 sq, ft, distribution center in Port Washington, NY.
