Heritage Centers was originally founded in 1951, by five families, as the Erie County Chapter of the New York State Association for Retarded Children (NYSARC, Inc.). Today, as a leading not-for-profit agency in Western New York, Heritage Centers annually serves more than 3,000 children and adults, who are developmentally disabled, through a network of over a dozen programs. With 62 years of excellent services and programming, Heritage Centers has become an integral part of the local human service network, providing a full range of individualized life services.
