Northbrook Heights has provided care and services to the elderly and disabled of Cayuga County and beyond since 1974. It is licensed by the New York State Department of Health as an Adult Care Facility and an Assisted Living Program. Unlike many of its competitors Northbrook Heights is locally owned and operated. Unlike many of our competitors, a resident is not forced to move out of the facility once their personal financial resources are exhausted. Northbrook Heights accepts the New York State Congregate Level - 3 reimbursement rates for Medicaid eligible residents. Health monitoring is provided daily by licensed nursing and social worker staff to determine residents’ needs. This includes communication with physicians and other health/medical care providers and arranging appointments, obtaining prescribed medications, obtaining urgent care or emergency care if needed, and directing personal care staff to meet the changing care needs of each resident.Northbrook Heights is fortunate to have an experienced chef who is involved in the preparation of three homemade meals each day. Residents are provided the opportunity to provide input into the development of our seasonal menus which is then reviewed and approved by a Registered Dietician. Additionally, residents are offered between meal snacks daily.
