The New England Civil War Heritage Foundation (NECWHF) is a regional advocate for New England history and our historic sites and monuments. Through partnerships and strong leadership, we offer a full array of history-related services. Our mission is to bring communities of New England together through history. We want to educate future generations in order to preserve a time that was pivotal to our nation. And New England played an enormous role in the Civil War. We would love to come into your classrooms to show students of all ages New England's contribution to the War. We also can help you teach the Civil War. We do lectures, and make appearances whenever we can. Another goal is preservation. We have worked with legislators, historic commissions and museums to begin our New England Civil War Heritage Byway, connecting all six states through their Civil War-era sites, museums, homes, monuments and cemeteries.
