NAWCAD is part of the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), and has multiple facilities; the largest are at Patuxent River, Md., Lakehurst, N.J., Orlando, Fla. NAWCAD contributes to U.S. Navy and Marine Corps aviation through research, development, engineering, test and evaluation, acquisition, and lifecycle support of all fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft as well as related training and support equipment.
