About Morris Plate Glass
Our founders name was Max Morris. Max and his family moved to the Red Bank area from New York around the late 1920's. He was from a long line of Glaziers and research shows he became a glazier in 1920, at 18 years old. He and his wife opened and operated Morris Plate Glass in 1930. The ads above are from the Red Bank Registry newspaper from the 1940's. The company provided glass and mirror services as we still do today. Additionally, they were a Keystone supplier of paints, varnishes and wallpaper. He ran the business until his death, believed to be 1963, and was subsequently taken over by their grandson Steven Gallop who owned and operated the business until 2013
