Kids Turn San Diego Careers in San Diego, CA

KTSD serves children and families experiencing the challenges of family separation and divorce. Our program is unique in that we bring the family together to learn the same skills at the same time with each parent participating in a different group and the children grouped by age. Parents learn how their words and actions impact their children and new coping skills resulting in better communication with their co-parent. Children learn that they are not alone, that the divorce of their parents is not their fault, and they practice new ways of expressing their feelings to their parents. However, for many children, participating in a 4 week psycho-educational group is not enough. Their personal experiences of witnessing high conflict and domestic violence between their parents, as well as being victims of emotional abuse through parental alienation tactics put them at great risk.
