Juntos Academy Middle School (JAMS) is an IB-MYP charter school providing a student-centered community focused educational experiences for students in grades 6-8. Juntos, a Spanish word meaning united, translates into working with students, parents, communities and organizations to create the best educational experiences for children and their families. We recognizes that building lasting relationships with families and the community is fundamental to the success of Juntos Academy. It is another way for us to build capacity and obtain parents and community participation. Students study the arts, athletics, humanities, Spanish, math, sports, and science, and participate in service-learning to help better their communities. Students work in cooperative groups; engage in project-based learning, independent work, and field experiences to further their understanding of course content.
